Update – Covid-19 –  Level 4 Lockdown

Apologies, it has been very remiss of us to not keep you updated on this site as too the ‘happenings” in the practice in regard to Covid-19.

We started off with a “hiss and a roar” in the practice vaccinating our patients which was great. We recruited a huge amount of extra staff to cope with the workload. This in itself took hours and hours of work.

Then Level 4 Lockdown came and the plans changed for us dramatically.

Due to the requirement for 2 metre distancing and the huge demand for people to be vaccinated, we needed to move our vaccinating from Onlsow Medical Centre to our other site at the Khandallah Presbyterian Church, 33 Ganges Road, Khandallah.

We have been running 2 computer programmes the entire time. The one that you booked on initially through our practice and also the bookmyvaccine.nz  national programme.

The have been quite a few issues with us trying to accommodate everyone, but we believe that we have done our best to do so.

Going forward, we still have people that are booked on our practice system for their vaccines, and some of you may have already received a message in regard to the change of location for this. We will be updating you regularly via text or phone call. But also check this webpage or our Facebook page for further information.

Please be assured that we can offer you the vaccine as booked, but it will be at our site at the Khandallah Presbyterian Church 33 Ganges Rd Khandallah. You will receive notification. PLEASE do not call the practice, our phones have been inundated.

Our Drs are still at the practice and are here for any Urgent needs that you may have, so please phone us in  that instance 04 478 9999.

At Level 4 we are currently screening our patients and our Drs are doing telephone consults as  our front doors are locked.

We are swabbing here at the practice, you need to call 04 478 9999 to speak to our team in regard to this.

Covid-19 Vaccines are available – read below!

You can now book  for your Covid-19 Vaccine if you are in Group 3 and over 16 years of age or over 60 in Group 4.
We have 2 sites taking bookings.
Both sites are managed by Onslow Medical Centre.
Onslow Medical Centre @ 125 Moorefield Rd, Johnsonville and Khandallah Presbyterian Church 33 Ganges Road in Khandallah.
We have daily appointments and weekends available at both sites.

We will begin providing Covid19 vaccinations to our Group 3 patients from 27 July 2021.
Clinics will be available here at the practice  – Mon to Thurs evenings between 5.00pm and 8.00pm and Saturday and Sunday, between 9.00am and 4.30pm.
PLEASE DO NOT phone us to make a booking , we will be calling you.

If you have flu like symptoms and have either returned from China within the last 14 days or have been in contact with someone with Covid-19, please isolate yourself at home and contact us by phone.

Please do no come into the medical centre.
